What makes me Merry

My purpose as an artist is to alleviate, elevate and illuminate my audiences to joy.

I heal with laughter and believe that the communal transaction of live theatre is the salve that heals tears in our communities on micro and macro levels. The act of laughter itself is cleansing, creative and catching! It gives us fleeting moments to bask in bubbling joy and celebrate the lightness of being.

I feel that it is necessary to view the truths we accept as reality from multiple angles to reveal if it is still a truth that fuels our growth. It is important to me to leave audiences with a hearty ab workout from laughter, feelings to feel and subjects to discuss among friends.

My goal is to create socially relevent commentary and entertainment  with artists who share my passion and enthusiasm.

I use my theatrical and improvisational training as a spokesperson and

brand representitive for enterprising organizations seeking to promote their brands in national and international markets.

Thank you for visiting my website!

"Brilliant, reliable and wonderful to work with. Aside from her phenomenal talent Mary's greatest strength is her ability to learn.
I have, many times, assigned Mary tasks like,

"here Mary, learn how to do this, do it, and monitor its success."

I was never dissapointed. If you haven't worked with Mary you should do yourself a favor, and give yourself a treat... Work with Mary Hynes."

     - Scotty Watson (Director,  Improvisation News, Second City Toronto Alum)

"Mary Hynes is that student that is so present it makes you aware

of being alive. She is daring and courageous and smart and present.

I'd ask for a room full of Marys, but it would make my heart explode.

A great student actor, a great artist. Thank you, Mary Hynes!"

     - David Razowsky (Actor,  Educator, former Artistic Director of  The  2nd City, LA)

"Joy shines off of Mary Hynes. To watch her on stage is a freeing experience that leaves you smiling from ear to ear."

     - Julie Berndt (AEA actress)

"Mary Hynes brings a commitment and specificity to her characters, which in turn brings her characters to life. Throw in her natural brightness, moxie,

and just the right ammount of zany, and you have a very engaging performer."

     - David Marx (Improvisor and Educator with Artistic New Directions)
